Ongoing School Events
- The glass cabinet at the entrance of the library will display books from the Celebrate Literacy Recommended Reading list.
- The reference section of the library will share a display of “Path to Becoming a Reader” from baby books through college level texts.
- Florida Teens Read Challenge is ongoing.
Monday,
Jan. 25
- Students will receive a piece of candy when they fill out a paper listing their favorite book and reasoning behind the choice. The paper will then be displayed on a bulletin board at the entrance to the library for all to see.
Tuesday,
Jan. 26
- If a student returns an overdue book this day, the fine will be forgiven.
Wednesday, Jan. 27
- We will sponsor a “Get Caught Reading” Day. Each period a random student will be given a prize if he/she is “caught reading” in the library.
Thursday,
Jan. 28
- We will encourage students to wear shirts with words on them that need to be read.
Friday,
Jan. 29
- The Book Club will meet to discuss the book Maus.
